Delicious new ranges in-stock at Pownalls!
By now you will know that we never let the grass grow under our feet and last year was no exception. In October we opened Pownalls, our very own fine food and cook shop; it has proved such a success that we have sourced some new and exciting ranges for this spring.
Named after Helens Great Grandfather, Thomas Pownall, our aim in the food shop is to bring you an array of fresh locally sourced product, all the basic essentials and lots of speciality foods so that you can indulge yourself.
For some meaty madness, weve got delicious fresh pork sausage, bacon and pork pies from local farmers, Berryfields at Meriden plus turkey and chicken courtesy of Turkey Talk at Adlington, all free range of course. Not forgetting the famous 19Gale pies and pasties from Atherstone.
Weve extended our range of store cupboard essentials to include milk and eggs from Farmer Dawson in Bentley, cheese, cream and butter from Fowlers in Warwickshire, Fosse Way Honey and a barrow-full of fresh fruit and veg from Coopers on our doorstep in Nether Whitacre.
If your fancy is for something a little more naughty, try some of our new cakes and bread, the finest chocolates from Lindt and Green & Black or a pack of Tyrells and Burts handmade crisps. Waistline watch out!
We are extending our frozen range due to popular demand to include a third freezer of Cooks Ready Meals. So look out for some new exciting recipes, some new desserts and more four portions - ideal for those dinner parties and so good you can pass them off as homemade!
We are complementing this with a third freezer of Fieldfare famous for loose fruit, vegetables and delicious pastries. The garlic bread and pan au chocolate come highly recommended – but not together!
Thats the food shop but we will also be adding some other household essentials so that you wont get caught short: toilet roll, cat and dog food and a bio range of cleaning products.
If you have any special requests, ideas or local favourites we would be happy to listen and will try to source where possible.
In the cook shop we have everything from utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware, picnic ware, placemats and storage jars, choosing from the best of ranges like Maxwell Williams, Typhoon, Kitchen Craft and T&G Woodware.
